The Wellesley Food Pantry is having its largest food collection event of the year on Saturday, November 8 – the Scouting for Food Drive. We are in need of your assistance for both donations and as volunteers. This important event is critical to ensuring we have enough items to distribute to the more than 400 residents of our town the Wellesley Food Pantry serves. Wellesley Volunteers is co-sponsoring a Volunteer Fair with the Wellesley Free Library on Sunday, October 19, 2014 from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. at the Wellesley Free Library at 530 Washington Street. The Volunteer Fair will be organized in a manner similar to a job fair, with multiple municipal and non-profit organizations attending. Organizations currently scheduled to participate in the Fair include: Wellesley Friendly Aid, Neighbor Brigade, Wellesley Free Library, Wellesley Council on Aging, Wellesley Media Corporation, Independent Transportation Network, Elizabeth Seton Residence, SOAR 55, and Wellesley ESL.

Register now for Wellesley Hoops (formerly known as CYO) to avoid late fees!
Wellesley Hoops, for players in grades 4-9, is a competitive program that balances teams based on abilities demonstrated during the evaluation sessions. Evaluations are currently scheduled for the afternoon of Oct 19th and 26th. There are no cuts. Once assigned to a team, practices are held once a week on either Tuesday, Thursday or Friday evenings.
