Calling All DADs & Moms - Great Volunteer Opportunity to connect and "Spruce Up Sprague," at the same time!

"Spruce Up Sprague"

Meet up with a Sprague friend and have some fun while you work -

The custodial staff will take the lead with mowing/edging, however they need our help to maintain the gardens and overgrowth in time for the first day of school. Weeding and trimming of bushes around the playground area and building entrances will go a long way, making our grounds look good, while minimizing the critters where our children play.
Meet up with some friends while you work-  Click here to sign up
  • Sunday, Aug. 26th 9-11am or 11-1pm
  • Monday, Aug. 27th 9-11am, 11-1pm, or 6-8pm
  • Tuesday, Aug. 28th 9-11am or 11-1pm
Bring yard equipment (gloves, rakes, weed wackers, hedge clippers, extension cords, shovels, wheelbarrows, brooms, etc.) Cold water will be provided!

Hedge Clippers are needed for this job!

A weed wacker would be great here!
Don't forget your gloves - "ouch!"

Special Education Support for Parents - Are you familiar with Wellesley Parent Advisory Council (PAC)?

Annual Newsletter – August, 2012 www.wellesleypac.org
New Email: pacwellesley@gmail.com

The Year Ahead -
We have some changes in store for the coming school year:
Before school starts in September, our web site will be new! It will be a work in
progress, but our hope is to make the WPAC web site a clearinghouse of information
for our families.

Also, please note that our email address has changed to pacwellesley@gmail.com.
Finally, we are moving our message board. We encourage WPAC families to sign up
for our new Google Groups.
Please visit: https://sites.google.com/site/pacwellesley/home/google-group to sign
up.

What is WPAC?
The Wellesley Parent Advisory Council (PAC) is an all-volunteer, non-profit
organization of parents and caregivers of children with disabilities affiliated with the
Wellesley Public School District. We meet to learn more about special education. We
sponsor workshops, informational meetings, discussion groups, legislative lobbying
efforts and a variety of other activities to help improve our children’s education.
The Wellesley PAC is comprised of parents just like you. Although your child is unique,
there are hundreds of parents in Wellesley who are familiar with the challenges you
face and that are engaged in some part of the Special Education process. We support
each other by offering our expertise and resources.

A Note From the President
This past summer, we have been working on improving the communication WPAC
members can have between each other. We’ll be launching a new web site before
school starts and we are changing our message board. I encourage all of you to check
out and contribute to our new resources. I look forward to hearing from you!
