Cafeteria Mosaic Help Needed - Be a part of Sprague's Art History

Sprague Cafeteria Mosaic Mural Volunteer Sign Ups!

This will be the largest art project completed at Sprague and similar to the first mural in our front lobby. It will be a wonderful collaboration of students, staff and families. The mural will depict a scene of a large dining table with children from around the world sitting down to feast together.  It will be installed on the long wall in the cafeteria for children to enjoy throughout the future years of Sprague.

Please click here to sign up for dates in November (13th, 15th, 19th).  We will have more dates in the future. Any questions please contact Michelle at mandpheath@yahoo.com.

Don't forget too that Jen is looking for broken or chipped everyday dishware from your homes.  The dishes will be broken into small pieces and added to the mosaic portion of the border.  Dishes may be brought to the Sprague art room through the end of November.

Thank You Sprague!!! Cradles to Crayons

A big thank you to the Sprague community for all of the wonderful donations made to Cradles to Crayons over the past two weeks.  Despite Hurricane Sandy, Sprague collected more donations than ever which is something we can all be proud of!

Also, thank you to those families that helped collect donations from carline and a special thank you to the Sprague families that gave up their Saturday mornings to help sort through donations.

REMEMBER ME! BOOKS
GHOSTING EVENT
HUGE SUCCESS

70 new library books for our kids to enjoy!

Books were secretly delivered to classrooms on Halloween and all classes received at least one book, with 5EB topping the charts with 9. These books will remain in the classrooms for about a month before they become part of the library's permanent collection.

Many thanks to all the families that generously donated, we really appreciate your participation and support of the Sprague library!

Have Your Voice Heard, Complete the Town Pool Survey Today

Town Pool Survey

As you may have heard, the Town of Wellesley has agreed to purchase the land at 900 Worcester Street. One of the planned uses for the land is a community aquatic facility.

A committee has been formed to determine what kind of facility will meet community needs and expectations.  It will actively seek public input, and the first step is a survey to get preliminary indications of the level of public interest and support for various features and activities of the facility.

You may respond to this survey in a variety of ways.  You can access it online at www.wellesleyma.gov/poolsurvey.  If you prefer,  you can complete a hard copy that will come in the November electric/water/sewer bills and mail it to:  Wellesley Recreation, 90 Washington St, Wellesley, MA 02481 or fax it to 781-237-3558.

Your input is important and appreciated!

Wellesley Dental Group is once again sponsoring the Candy for the Troops' drive this year. Bring some, or most, of your candy collected from Trick-or-Treating or even the extra candy you have at your house. It is better for your body and will help brighten a soldier's day!

All the candy we collect will be donated to
Special Kindness in Packages, Inc (SKIP),

We will be collecting the candy in the main office until:
Thursday, November 8th

Thank you!
