Highlights

Judy Belliveau and Doris Madden have been working with Vermont Systems Inc. to roll out the new on-line registration and payment system for the District. It will be accessible to parents for bus registration in early April. This new system will streamline fee collection for athletics, activities, instrument lessons, preschool tuitions, transportation and almost any program for which parents pay a fee. It will also support ticket sales for sports and drama productions.

Highlights

This past week, we said farewell to Suzy Littlefield, who served on the Wellesley School Committee for twelve years. We are not sure if this is a record, but by any measure, Suzy’s long tenure is an example of service and leadership that embodies much of what we try to instill in our students. Serving on any school committee is not for the feint of heart and involves making difficult decisions in the public spotlight. Suzy deserves our collective thanks for her long commitment to our students and our community.

At the same time as we say farewell, we also offer a welcome to new School Committee member, Patti Quigley. Patti has a long history of involvement and support of the Wellesley Public Schools, including:

• WHS School Council Member
• Co-President of the Wellesley Education Foundation
• Superintendent Search Committee
• Schofield School Council

Patti is currently the Executive Director of Razia’s Ray of Hope Foundation (an international non-profit educating Afghan girls) and has over 27 years of diverse financial operation and strategic planning experience in the banking industry. Patti is the mother of a 5th grader at Schofield and a Junior at Wellesley High School. Clearly, Patti brings many skills to the School committee and I’ll hope you join me in welcoming her to our team!
